Construction has started on a new Youth Prevention and Recovery Care (YPARC) centre in Heidelberg. YPARC centres provide support to young people aged 16-25 experiencing mental health challenges and/or psychological distress. Construction is complete on the new Ballarat Early Parenting Centre (EPC). The centre will support parents and caregivers of little ones aged 0-4 with: 👶 sleep, settling or feeding 🤱 bonding 🧸 developmental milestones 🤱 adjusting to parenthood and building parenting skills. The Ballarat EPC is expected to open its doors in the coming weeks. Construction of the $1.1 billion #FrankstonHospital redevelopment has passed the halfway point! More than 700,000 hours of work have been completed to date, with: 🏗️ 29,000 cubic meters of concrete poured  ⬆️ seven floors of the hospital tower constructed  🚗 multi-deck car park structurally completed. A tapestry inspired by Melbourne’s west will hang near the main entrance of the new #FootscrayHospital 🧶 Maree Clarke, a Yorta Yorta/Wamba Wamba/Mutti Mutti/Boonwurrung artist and designer, and Mitch Mahoney, a Boonwurrung/Barkindji artist and cultural educator, are designing the tapestry which will be hand-woven by a team of 10 at the Australian Tapestry Workshop.  This piece is one of many public artworks being commissioned for the new Footscray Hospital.     Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gNv8fEsd  📍 Footscray, Wurundjeri Country    Victorian Department of Health Western Health Plenary Group  Footscray Community Arts #PublicHealth #Infrastructure 

The new #FootscrayHospital health and education precinct is a step closer!   A 57m pedestrian bridge has been installed, connecting the new hospital to Victoria University.  The footbridge, spanning across Ballarat Road, links the university to a state-of-the-art education and research centre at the new Footscray Hospital.  The centre will be dedicated to health and medical training, including nursing, midwifery, physiotherapy, speech pathology, dietetics, biomedicine, and psychology.
