Former Georgia Southern standouts look to carry momenntumn into Sunday's final round
The third round of the club car championship teed off Saturday morning at the Deer Creek course at the Landings Golf and Athletic Club. It's no secret Georgia Southern University is well represented in the tournament with three former Eagles in the hunt.
Stephen Fisk entered the third round with a share of the lead after firing a 65 on Friday, while Mason Williams and Ben Carr were tied for 26th heading into the third round.
Fisk picked up right where he left off with three birdies on the front nine however with two bogeys on the day, he fell to third place (-10) one shot off the lead.
Carr bogeyed once on the front nine but bounced back tremendously with five birdies on the back nine — including three in a row.
Williams had his share of struggles on the front nine with two bogeys however with a bogey free back nine that included two birdies and an eagle on the 18th hole helped him fire a 32 on the back nine.
