Something special is brewing at a Downtown Statesboro coffee shop."Best way to describe it, it's smooth," says Cool Beanz Espresso Bar owner David Hoyle. G-A-T-A is more than a motto these days.The battle cry made famous by legendary Georgia Southern football coach Erk Russell is now a coffee thanks to the percolating power of Cool Beanz Espresso Bar in Statesboro."It's not bitter or super strong, it's a little chocolatey with a little citrus flavor," adds Hoyle. David Hoyle has been brewing up some of the 'Boro's best hot and cold coffee beverages for years and recently the Georgia Southern alum partnering with Eagle athletics to launch the university's first branded coffee called GATA Fuel."We are proud to provide a remarkable product that aligns with the values and aspirations of Georgia Southern University," said Amy Hughes, Director of Athlete Brand Management and University Licensing. "We're delighted to strengthen our valued partnership with Cool Beanz Espresso Bar by introducing GATA Fuel coffee" Since it's launch in November, these beans becoming a big hit. GATA Fuel is available in-store and online at Cool Beanz Espresso Bar, the Southern Exchange Company and the Georgia Southern University Store."Biggest thing I've always wanted to do is create community," added Hoyle.
