Today is Founders Day at UGA: activities at the University of Georgia’s Tate Student Center mark the 238th anniversary of the charter for the country’s oldest land grant university. Festivities get underway at 11 o’clock this morning.

Join the Student Alumni Council in Tate Plaza on Friday, January 27, 2023 to celebrate UGA’s 238th birthday! Founders Day celebrations will include T-shirt giveaways, photos with Hairy Dawg and activities with schools and colleges from around campus. Be sure to stop by from 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. to celebrate UGA’s academic excellence and the incredible campus we call home.
