Clinic Community Linkages Officer, Friends in Global Health, LLC

 

Ms. Graves serves as a Senior Program Manager for the Vanderbilt Institute for Global Health and the Clinic Community Linkages Officer for Friends in Global Health. In this role she collaborates with Nashville- and Mozambique-based FGH staff, as well as VIGH staff and faculty, to provide technical support in the management of programs aimed at bridging clinical and community-based interventions for HIV care and prevention in rural Mozambique. She has several years of experience working as a RN in clinical care and community/public health. Her work has focused on maternal and child health, family planning, HIV prevention and care, gender-based violence, patient advocacy and self-efficacy, and coordination of patient care within multidisciplinary teams, with special interest in low income and vulnerable populations.

From 2005 to 2007 Ms. Graves served in the Peace Corps as a Community Health Promoter in Gorongosa, Mozambique. She received a B.S. in Evolutionary Anthropology from Rutgers University, where she also majored in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She also holds a B.S. in Nursing from Johns Hopkins University, and an M.P.H. with a Global Health emphasis from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
