The 12 Days Of Aspen

December 11, 2017

Aspen-Snowmass has opened for the season and residents and visitors are preparing for an exciting holiday season at 8,000 feet. From December 20th to December 31st, Aspen is turned into a picturesque winter wonderland. Between all the different events around town, there is something for every family member to enjoy.

The celebration kicks off on December 20th with a food drive and storytelling at Pitkin County Library, holiday gift making at the St. Regis, and LeAnn Rimes at Belly Up. Things continue to pick up throughout the week with visits from Santa himself and his reindeer on the Cooper Avenue Mall, carriage rides with Mrs. Claus, carolers throughout downtown, and lots of delicious gingerbread cookie decorating!

As Christmas approaches, see A Charlie Brown Christmas Live on Stage at the Wheeler Opera House, enjoy a traditional buffet at Hotel Jerome, or a prix fixe dinner at Ajax Tavern. Afterwards, finish off 2017 strong at Aspen Art Museum's annual winter benefit, The Now. Adults will love the silent auction, fine wine selection, and seated dinner. Then, on New Year's Eve, head to Wagner Park for a live DJ, bonfire, and fireworks!

Throughout the 12 Days of Aspen, be sure to take advantage of yoga classes sponsored by Aspen Shakti and enjoy the best films of the year at the Aspen Film Academy Screenings at the Wheeler Opera House. For a full list of the events, visit the Aspen Chamber Resort Association's website.
