About the Area
Our location along the Jersey Shore places us about an hour from both New York City and Philadelphia. Easily accessible by car, train, bus, boat, the area provides diverse, year-round events and attractions. No matter what your interests might be, we have it all. Here is a link for Monmouth County Tourism site for a quick glimpse of what is in our backyard. https://tourism.visitmonmouth.com/The State of New Jersey boasts 141 miles of beautiful sandy beaches in addition to hundreds of miles of hiking trails on all terrains. We have 12 National Parks full of history and beauty as well as 49 State Parks with great camping facilities. Our own Monmouth County Park System has 43 parks, beautifully maintained and always busy with seasonal activities. We are called “The Garden State” for a reason. The county where we are located is home to over 800 farms, with many open to the public with garden stands and “pick your own” fields and orchards. Interestingly, New Jersey also has the most horses per square mile out of any other state, with many (some famous) stables within a 15-minute drive from us. If outdoor/nature activities aren’t your thing, we have lots of other ways to spend your time off.As the home to such music legends as Bruce Springsteen, Jon Bon Jovi, Whitney Houston, My Chemical Romance, Charlie Puth and many more, New Jersey’s music scene is always on point. From local cultural phenoms to worldwide concert stops, it is hard to find a week without a live music or theatrical event happening locally. The PNC Bank Arts Center is home to incredible concerts and shows and is only 7 miles up the Garden State Parkway from us. The Count Basie Theater in Red Bank is even closer. We also have over 30 craft beverage establishments in Monmouth County alone! And the variety of amazing restaurants is remarkable. We are close enough to the bright lights of the city to be exciting, but far enough away from the crowds to be peaceful, and truly beautiful.Take it from a local…There is more to New Jersey than what you see on TV or on a drive on the turnpike. It is a wonderful place to be.
