The Collective is Teach For America’s national association for alumni who identify as Native, Indigenous, and people of color.
The mission of The Teach For America Nashville-Chattanooga Collective is to dismantle educational inequity by empowering alumni of color, elevating the voices of people of color, and connecting alumni of color to each other & the greater community.
Collective Launch in Nashville-Chattanooga
If you are an alum who shares these identities you are already part of the national Collective family. Now, we we're working to launch a regional chapter of the Collective.
The Commitment
Each board member will serve a 2-year term
Board meetings will take place quarterly.
The board must have between 5 and 11 members
Board members must identify as Black, Native, Indigenous, or a person of color
Board members must live in the Nashville or Chattanooga areas
The board should reflect the demographics of the Nashville-Chattanooga alumni network.
The TFA Nashville-Chattanooga Collective Board Launch Process
The Collective launch vision is to bring together a group of alumni of color who are invested in helping to shape the purpose and structure of the Collective.
