Job overview

We are looking to recruit a permanent Preschool Assistant.  

At Midsomer Norton we pride ourselves on the relationships we have with our children, ensuring all children are known, valued and their individual needs recognised and met.  Our new Preschool Assistant will need to have experience working within the Early Years Foundation Stage and have the passion and enthusiasm for children and their learning. They will be required to deliver all aspects of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in a fun, engaging and imaginative way, and ensure children learn in a safe, caring environment.

Ideal candidates will:

• Hold a relevant NVQ Early Years Level 3 qualification

• Work well as part of a team, as well as being self-motivated and able to work independently

• Have the ability to enthuse and engage children in purposeful learning experiences

• Be passionate about children’s learning & welfare

• Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour

They  will also demonstrate a commitment to uphold and promote our 3 core values:

This is a permanent appointment 20 hours per week, term time only plus 2 inset days, starting 1st September 2022.
