Each committee has defined training requirements set in iRIS that is verified for completion against your My Profile, Training History.
TAMU-CC research compliance committees (IRB, IBC, IACUC) uses CITI to deliver research compliance training. For CITI training, your CITI ID is imported into your My Profile and training verification can be performed.
Dive Operations training is entered by the Dive Safety Officer (DSO) and will be updated by the DSO.
For training completed in CITI: CITI and iRIS are integrated. Your training record will automatically be uploaded to your profile. Once you have completed the required course in CITI, no further action is required.
You DO NOT have to send your CITI training certificates to the Office of Research Compliance.
Nightly Feeds: iRIS updates your training records nightly through CITI. If you took the training in CITI today, the system may need time to do a refresh. Check back tomorrow to see if your record in iRIS has been updated.
Check your Email: iRIS and CITI connect through matching your email account. Check your CITI account, do you have your TAMU-CC email as the email listed in CITI? If no, you can update your CITI account to reflect your TAMU-CC email. Or add a secondary email to your My Profile in iRIS to match the email you have listed in CITI.
Click here to learn how to add a secondary email to My Profile.
Still not working? Please contact research.compliance@tamucc.edu.
In Section 3.0, Grant Key Personnel Access to the Study, you will hit Setup Protocol Personnel to grant them access to the submission.
Once you look up the person, they will appear with an icon under Training.
If you click on the graduation cap icon, the training requirements will show for that individual.
If the person has completed the required training, it will show green.
If the training is not complete, you can reach out to them to complete the required training. If you have personnel added who have incomplete training, you will receive a notification from iRIS as soon as the submission is submitted alerting you to incomplete training for listed personnel.
You can also decide not to add them at this point if you need a quick approval.
You can always add them later as a personnel change. Remember: You must add them and receive approval before they can begin working on the study.
In the application you have the option to add any non-CITI training courses you would like to add.
Non-TAMU-CC study personnel who have an iRIS user account will also have the CITI-connect feature.
We recommend for long-term non-TAMU-CC collaborators to get a university account to allow login to iRIS.
For Non-TAMU-CC study personnel without an iRIS user account, the submission application will ask if the project involves collaboration with other organizations. If yes, then you can add those research study personnel and upload any documented training they have from their home institution that would satisfy committee training requirements.
