Austin FC is kicking up their queso game.

The soccer team announced Tuesday that Kerbey Lane Cafe is now their "Official Queso Partner," meaning home games at Q2 Stadium will offer the Austin restaurant's famous cheese dip.

“We’re pleased to welcome Kerbey Lane to the Austin FC family,” Austin FC president Andy Loughnane said in a statement. “Austin is one of the best food cities in the world, and incorporating uniquely Austin institutions like Kerbey Lane within our matchday experience is an important part of what makes Q2 Stadium the best sports experience in the state of Texas.”

Kerbey Lane's queso is a fan favorite on their menu.

Kerbey queso will make its Austin FC debut in March at a cart on the northeast corner of Q2 Stadium. The cart will offer both classic and vegan queso.

Other vendors are expected to still be allowed to sell queso despite Kerbey Lane's official partner status.

Kerbey Lane will also sponsor Austin FC's "Kid of the Match" at one home game each month.

“It’s been exciting to see our hometown get a major league sports team," Mason Ayer, Kerbey Lane's chief executive officer and owner, said in a statement. "We are inspired by the energy and passion of supporters and the club’s commitment to our community. We knew we wanted to be a part of the Austin FC family, and bringing our fan-favorite queso to Q2 Stadium made perfect sense.”

Kerbey Lane Cafe, an iconic Austin diner that first opened on its namesake Central Austin street in 1980, currently operates nine locations in the Central Texas area and one in San Antonio. Its queso has been a local late-night staple for generations, especially with guacamole and pico de gallo added, a variation officially called "Kerbey Queso" on the menu.
