Coyote Howler
April 23, 2020
Thank you for your support and partnership these last weeks as we all help students learn through the distance learning model that the COVID-19 pandemic has thrust us into. We know that students and families have been wondering about their personal belongings at school and I’m excited to share with you a plan for collecting those items.
During the week of May 4-8, families will be able to come to the school and have a curbside pickup of their child/children’s belongings.
Enter on Raspberry Rd. Line up along the curb during pick-Up Hours (see schedule)
Upon arrival, the family identifies themselves to a staff member who radios a team in the building.
The building team brings the student belongings outside to a collection table where the family collects the belongings.
Any library or text books being returned by the family will be dropped off in tubs at the curb before the family leaves.
Privately owned or rented 6th grade Band or Orchestra instruments currently at school will be returned to the family during this process. ASD-owned instruments currently at school will remain at school and considered returned. ASD-owned instruments currently at home should be returned to The Horn Doctor or Petr’s Violin Shop during the week of May 4-8. Please see information from your child’s Band or Orchestra teacher regarding this process. No Band or Orchestra instruments will be accepted by the school.
If you order a yearbook (see information from PTA in this letter), it will be included in the personal items you collect.
Teachers will do their best to identify students’ belongings and will empty the contents of the students’ desks or cubbies into large plastic bags. The bags will be labeled with the student’s name, the teacher’s name, the grade, and the names of siblings to help ensure the correct bag is given to the correct family.
Following the need to continue strict safety precautions, families will not be allowed into the building during this retrieval process. Thank you for your understanding.
If you have any questions about this process, please contact your child’s teacher or myself.
Sincerely,
Wendy Zorea
Principal

Yearbooks Sales and Delivery
Kincaid parents,
The 2019-2020 yearbooks will be available for purchase online between April 23rd- April 30th.
During the week of May 4th, all pre-paid yearbooks will be distributed by Kincaid staff during your designated curbside pick-up time. You will receive information from your child’s teacher on the exact curbside pick-up date/time. Unfortunately, this will be the only way to receive a yearbook this year so please pay close attention to the step-by-step process below.
Step 1: Go to this link https://my-site-102228-107635.square.site/ and click on "shop now”.
Step 2: Enter student’s name and teacher, then click “Add to cart". If buying more than one yearbook please put additional student and teacher info in the same field.
Step 3: When finished, click on the cart, then checkout.
Step 4: Enter checkout information. Disregard pick-up time on website.
Step 5: Enter payment information and submit order.
Step 6: Pick Up Yearbook with your child's personal items during the week of May 4. See Schedule above.
It is very important that you order your child’s yearbook online during the one week window (April 23rd-April 30th). We are unable to set-up a table or meet parents individually at the school, so this will be the only opportunity this year to obtain a yearbook. If we have any leftover yearbooks, we will sell them at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year at our Popsicles on the Playground event.
We understand that during these uncertain and challenging times, many parents may not be able to afford a yearbook for their child. Please reach out to the PTA, as we may be able to help (depending on availability).
Lastly, thank you parents for sending in pictures for the yearbook. It turned out GREAT!
Please email or call if you have any further questions,
