Important Up-date About Personal Item Pick-Ups.
Kincaid families and staff,
On Thursday, April 30, we were notified that a Kincaid staff member tested positive for COVID-19. With this staff member having been recently present at the school, we will be postponing the student pick-up for personal belongings, originally scheduled for May 4-8, in order to clean and disinfect the school building. We are prioritizing safety in returning items to families after a complete and thorough cleaning of the building. To ease any additional concerns, we want you to know that this staff member has had no contact with any students since the day before Spring Break.
The student pick-up for personal belongings will be postponed at least until the week of May 11. We will let all parents know once we confirm the new pick-up dates and details. We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause. Thank you for your continued cooperation.
Thank you,
Cindy Hemry,
Director Elementary Education
Yearbook Sales Extended Through May 7th
Step 1: Go to this link https://my-site-102228-107635.square.site/ and click on "shop now”.
Step 2: Enter student’s name and teacher, then click “Add to cart". If buying more than one yearbook please put additional student and teacher info in the same field.
Step 3: When finished, click on the cart, then checkout.
Step 4: Enter checkout information. Disregard pick-up time on website.
Step 5: Enter payment information and submit order.
Step 6: Pick Up Yearbook with your child's personal items during the week of May 4. See Schedule above.
It is very important that you order your child’s yearbook online during the one week window (April 23rd-May 7). We are unable to set-up a table or meet parents individually at the school, so this will be the only opportunity this year to obtain a yearbook. If we have any leftover yearbooks, we will sell them at the beginning of the 2020-2021 school year at our Popsicles on the Playground event.
We understand that during these uncertain and challenging times, many parents may not be able to afford a yearbook for their child. Please reach out to the PTA, as we may be able to help (depending on availability).
Lastly, thank you parents for sending in pictures for the yearbook. It turned out GREAT!
Please email or call if you have any further questions,
Kincaid PTA

Book Fair
Hello Kincaid Readers!
This event will take place online April 27 - May 10. Orders will be mailed directly to your home; shipping for book-only sales over $25 will be free. Click HERE to start shopping!
Don't forget to check out the new Kincaid Library website! On it you will find upcoming events, resources for families, and learning links for students.
Have you been wondering what to do with your student's library books? Has your child forgotten which book(s) he/she has? Over the next few days, I will be emailing families a list of books checked out. Below are a few options for returning Kincaid library material.
- You may return library books next week when you stop by the school to pick up your student's belongings.
- Kincaid library books may be returned to any ASD school, the ASD Ed Center, or any Anchorage Public Library once they reopen. If you are leaving the state and are unable to return books to school the week of May 4th, you could give the books to a friend that goes to any ASD school or mail them to Library Resources, 5530 E. Northern Lights, Anchorage, AK 99504.
- If you can't find your student's books or are still reading them, keep enjoying or looking for them and return to any ASD school next year.
Please know I have faith that Kincaid coyotes will get their borrowed materials back at some point; do not stress over these materials.
Finally, I continue to share stories during Mrs. Zorea's principal check-ins each Monday and Friday afternoon. I hope to see you there!
Please feel free to email me with any questions or concerns you might have.
Ms. Heather
