Ligon Outdoor Center Updates
Winter 2024
Message from Ranger Jason
Hello Friends,
As we move through the remaining days of 2023 and gear up for winter, visiting groups continue to utilize the facilities, programs and materials. Students this fall have participated in a wide variety of programs, lessons and activities such as, the fossil dig, owl pellet dissection, geocaching, fishing, tree identification, leadership strategies and community service. Many smiling faces have spent time gathered at a campfire enjoying their lunch and smores. These experiences will continue here at Ligon throughout this winter and into the spring.
I’m looking forward to the upcoming months here at Ligon and continuing to welcome schools and community groups for winter experiences. Reservations requests continue to arrive weekly and the calendar is starting to fill in. Please enjoy this winter edition of the Ligon Outdoor Center Updates and get your reservation requests in to save your dates. .
