Coyote Howler
August 21, 2020
We are so thankful that our initial start-up went very well. Our attendance was strong in all grade levels. Our teachers worked so hard to get their canvas classrooms ready with all the important information you need to get the year started. More than anything, we loved seeing our students back with us!
Next week we will ask families to come to school for a curbside pick-up of materials. These materials will be needed to complete the lessons that are assigned in the Canvas Classrooms. Curbside pick up will run all day Thursday and Friday, August 27th and 28th between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm. Please drive to the front of the school and pull forward. It helps to have a large sign with your child's name and teacher's name. Our staff will greet you and grab the bag of materials that the teacher has provided. Our staff will follow safety procedures while bagging the materials. Personal protective equipment will be used while handling student materials and during distribution.
For the following weeks, if teachers have additional items for pick-up, we will distribute on Thursdays between the hours of 9:00 am-4:00 pm. Teachers will inform parents if there will be any items to pick up in the future.
We are so glad to be back in school. Our hallways are not as quiet as you might think. As I walk down the halls, I have heard teachers meeting with their students through zoom, teaching procedures and getting to know their class. I have seen many teachers in one-on-one meetings, particularly with the younger students to navigate the tools together. I have seen marvelous collaboration between our staff, teaching each other another new trick in using our online classroom.
Thank you for your patience with us as we have rolled out our school start plan. We could not do it without the support of our parents. Thank you for your partnership! Thank you for trusting us with your most valuable possession, your children.
Sincerely,
Wendy Zorea
Principal

To My Coyote Families,
Just want to give you an update on after school activities. I know this is the time of year for “Cross Country Running”, however we are in the holding pattern for all activities. I want to do them so bad as I love this part of my job. I miss each and every one of you and look forward to the day when we can go back to normal.
I will stay in touch and deliver information via email or zoom to keep you all informed. I want you to work hard on your academics and stay active as much as possible at home until we are able to meet again. When that time comes, we will get back to the things we enjoy doing!
