The Survivors Justice Project fights for decarceration through the New York Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act.

The New York Domestic Violence Survivors Justice Act (DVSJA) was enacted in 2019 after ten years of advocacy led by the Coalition for Women Prisoners.

SJP is a collective of activists, lawyers, social workers, students, and researchers -- many of whom are survivors of domestic violence and long-term incarceration.

The Survivors Justice Project is a program of Women & Justice Project, whose work advances the leadership and power of women who are currently and formerly incarcerated to transform the criminal legal system.
