The shortlist for the 30^th anniversary edition of the UK Jewellery Awards has been unveiled at a party held in central London last night (27 April).

Almost 120 companies and individuals make up the shortlist for this year’s awards, which recognises excellence from across all areas of the industry.

Now in its 30^th year, the UK Jewellery Awards is the longest-standing and most-prestigious jewellery and watch trade awards event and a record 350 companies submitted applications for this year. These were then reviewed to come up with the final shortlist.

These shortlisted entrants will now be reviewed by the UK Jewellery Awards judging panel, made up of selected industry experts, and those shortlisted in retail categories will also be subjected to a mystery shop visit.

The winners of the awards will be revealed at the UK Jewellery Awards ceremony, which takes place on 1 September at the Hilton London Metropole.

Retail Jeweller editor Ruth Faulkner explained: “As ever the standard of entries received for these awards was extremely high and all of those businesses which have made the shortlist should feel deservedly proud of their achievements.

“Last night’s shortlist party attracted in excess of 200 guests and provided the perfect opportunity to celebrate all of those who have been shortlisted this year.

“We look forward to celebrating with all of the finalists and finding out who the winners are on 1 September.”
