Following a national search, Reed College is pleased to announce the appointment of Lindsey Hoyt as director of admission effective August 8, 2022. Reporting directly to Vice President and Dean of Admission & Financial Aid Milyon Trulove, Lindsey will provide strategic leadership, vision, oversight, and coordination of the college's Office of Admission during an exciting period of ongoing growth.

Prior to joining Reed, Lindsey worked as an associate director in undergraduate admissions at Tulane University and Brandeis University. She is especially passionate about working with the admission team to build a class of young scholars. Lindsey grew up primarily in Austin, Texas, before attending Tulane University. She began her career in marketing and communications at a retail and consumer goods consulting firm in San Francisco and a law firm in New Orleans before entering the world of college admission. 

As a key member of Reed’s enrollment leadership team, Lindsey will support the creation and execution of recruitment strategies in close partnership with the vice president and dean. “Lindsey's focus on enrollment management, communications, project management, and event planning are just a few of the reasons we’re excited about her joining our team. Lindsey has a proven track record of investing in and mentoring staff and is committed to our track record of developing our industry’s strongest leaders,” said Milyon Trulove.

Reed holds an important spot in the historic landscape of American higher education, and I look forward to helping to shape each new class of bright, kind, engaged Reedies," Lindsey said. She is stepping into the director role recently held by Huy Trinh. Huy recently became the director of admission at Denison College, a fellow Colleges That Change Lives school.
