World History, Volume 2: from 1400 is designed to meet the scope and sequence of a world history course from 1400 offered at both two-year and four-year institutions. Suitable for both majors and non majors World History, Volume 2: from 1400 introduces students to a global perspective of history couched in an engaging narrative. Concepts and assessments help students think critically about the issues they encounter so they can broaden their perspective of global history. A special effort has been made to introduce and juxtapose people’s experiences of history for a rich and nuanced discussion. Primary source material represents the cultures being discussed from a firsthand perspective whenever possible. World History, Volume 2: from 1400 also includes the work of diverse and underrepresented scholars to ensure a full range of perspectives.

Electronic commerce (e-commerce) and electronic business (e-business) are vital to business. E-commerce is one of the core courses in the management information systems (MIS) curriculum. It explains the business practices in the information technology era. The course also introduces the tools that can be applied to e-commerce project development. Information technology has become a commodity, and the e-commerce course has become a widely accepted business elective course forall business majors.The objective of this textbook is to help business students understand the concept of e-commerce and e-business and develop practical skills of e-commerce project development. Upon completion of the course, students will understand e-commerce and e-business, and be able to develop an e-commerce project. This resource was supported by funding from the OER Creator Program at UMass Dartmouth.

This is the lab manual for the Fay Lab at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth School for Marine Science and Technology. The focus of our work centers around developing interdisciplinary modeling approaches to extend the scope of applications for fisheries and ecosystem-based management. More about our group’s research activity can be found on our website. This lab manual resource is intended to provide an overview for lab members and others about how we do our work, and our expectations for our team. It is also a space to document institutional knowledge and for important information about procedures and available resources. The content for this book was developed as part of our group’s participation in the Openscapes Champions program.
