NREL analysts publish comprehensive collections of energy-sector data on behalf of the U.S. Department of Energy's Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy.

Renewable Energy Data Book

Published annually, the Renewable Energy Data Book presents U.S. and global energy statistics compiled from numerous data sources. It includes renewable electricity generation, renewable energy development, clean energy investments, and technology-specific data.

The 2017 and 2018 editions also include data and trends for electric vehicles and energy storage technologies.

Renewable Energy Grid Integration Data Book

Published biennially, the Renewable Energy Grid Integration Data Book identifies the status and key trends of renewable energy grid integration in a highly visual format.

It includes key charts and data on renewable energy capacity and generation, wholesale and retail electricity markets, power system operations, transmission, and retail electricity markets.

Industrial Energy Data Book

The Industrial Energy Data Book summarizes the status of and presents key trends in energy use and its underlying economic drivers across the four industrial subsectors: agriculture, construction, manufacturing, and mining.

Given the relationships between energy and water use, industry water withdrawals are also discussed in the data book.

Note: 2018 is the first edition of this data book.
