There are two opportunities I would like to pursue for my public art professional development: the URI Master Gardener Program Core Training, and the Haumea Online Essential Ecoliteracy Course for Creatives and Art Professionals. Both are online learning programs taking place in early 2021. A Master Gardener certification will give me professional backing, knowledge, and resources to use living plants as a public art medium. The Haumea course will give me the language and conceptual rigor for creating impactful ecosocial regenerative public artwork.
