Do it afraid first, and then with confidence

Melissa Muganzo, pronouns SHE/THEY/SIS (a Black-identified pronoun shared between Black-identified folks), is the Founder of Muganzo Entertainment and Owner of Mindy's Kitchen of California. Muganzo is a cultural bearer, entertainer, activist, philanthropist and humanitarian who believes in the power of Black ingenuity being the global catalyst to historically and presently advance global technology, engineering, entertainment, and cultural trends.

She has gone on to accomplish many community and career achievements such as starring on the cover of the Sacramento Business Journal and Outword Magazine and being the inaugural Higher Education Leadership and Policy Studies alumna face of HWY 50/F65 corridor billboard. Today, Muganzo continues to work as an actress, emcee, activist, and humanitarian for and on behalf of Black/African marginalized communities in a variety of forms, with every project she pursues.

Her life motto is "do it afraid first, and then with confidence" and sees herself as a living legend in real time. And, on any given day, you can find Melissa laughing at social media memes, binging “Abbot Elementary”, “HARLEM”, “MARTIN” or falling asleep to classic 90's Black sitcoms.

Working with Malika Humphrey as a visual producer for my 2024 Mindy's Kitchen of California x Muganzo Entertainment company branding shoot was incredible. She really knows how to capture the professional #Blackgirl esthetic with comfort and ease.
