Thompson Foundation awards community grants

The F.F. Thompson Foundation is awarding Mary Thompson grants ranging from $300 to $2,500 to 16 area nonprofit organizations.  

The foundation is the philanthropic arm of UR Medicine Thompson Health. Its grants committee annually reviews applications from nonprofits offering programs that improve the health and wellness of the community. This year, the grants totaled almost $20,000 in funding. 

This year’s recipients are the Arthritis Foundation of New York, Benincasa, Bridges for Brain Injury, Canandaigua Emergency Squad, Canandaigua Kiwanis Foundation, Child & Family Resources Inc., Clifton Springs Library, Community Reading Partnership, Family Promise of Ontario County Inc., Geneseo Parish Outreach Center, Happiness House, Ontario ARC, Partnership for Ontario County, Pathway Home of the Finger Lakes, Serenity House of Victor Inc. and Sonnenberg Gardens Inc.
