Boston is not only a destination for the Prince and Princess of Wales on Friday, but President Joe Biden is expected to make an appearance at a Democratic fundraiser in the city, according to news reports.
An invitation to a fundraiser at MGM Music Hall at Fenway lists Biden alongside Senators Elizabeth Warren and Ed Markey, according to a copy obtained by The Boston Globe. The fundraiser is in support of Raphael Warnock’s bid for Congress in Georga’s Senate run-off election on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Biden’s anticipated visit is scheduled on the same day Prince William and Princess Kate are attending the Earthshot Prize Awards Ceremony on Dec. 2, which awards $1 million to prize-winners for projects focused on resolving climate issues by 2030.
Biden recently spent time on Nantucket from Tuesday to Sunday in celebration of Thanksgiving, according to the Globe. He last visited Boston in September for an event at Logan airport touting improvements made possible by the recently passed infrastructure law.
