Our Delaware North UK team celebrated Mental Health Awareness Month earlier in May in collaboration with The Burnt Chef Project. The team at Wembley Stadium, where Delaware North has served as hospitality provider since 2007, enjoyed a hearty breakfast and inspiring talk from The Burnt Chef Project Founder Kris Hall about mental health in the workplace. The Burnt Chef Project is a community-interest group designed to remove mental health stigma in the worldwide hospitality industry. The organization engages with professionals to destigmatize mental health issues and generate support to help train frontline staff and business owners in fostering hospitality environments that support employees’ mental health “At Delaware North, our people are at the heart of our business,” said Marco Galer-Reick, vice president for Delaware North U.K. strategy enablement and human resources. “We are unwavering in our commitment to providing great service and guest experiences. That’s why we prioritize the support and care of our employees in our high-pressure industry and are proud to partner with The Burnt Chef Project.”

Our culinary team members love a good challenge - especially when it's for a great cause! Morimoto Asia, Space 220 and Enzo’s Hideaway on April 25 participated in the annual Appetite for the Arches event, which benefits the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Central Florida (RMHCCF). The event raised over $210,000 for RMHCCF, whose mission is to create, find and support programs that directly improve the health and well-being of children and their families. Teams from each restaurant joined top chefs from around Central Florida in putting their creativity to the test and creating gourmet delicacies with their own culinary flair, all incorporating at least three McDonald’s ingredients. The Morimoto Asia team created the Ebi Mayo McGriddle Wrap (shrimp tempura, gochujang mayo, Japanese-style tartar sauce) using the McDonald’s McGriddle, tartar sauce and eggs. The Space 220 team created the Kuawa Star (guava and tamale with a cream coffee and cinnamon crumble), using apple slices, guava cream filling and biscuits. The Enzo’s Hideaway team created Deviled Shrimp Louis Deviled Egg (cage-free deviled egg “Louis Style,” pink Key West shrimp and crispy bacon) using eggs, pickles and Big Mac sauce from McDonald’s.

Delaware North’s support of FeedMore WNY has reached new heights – literally – with a billboard at the corner of Delaware Avenue and Chippewa Street in downtown Buffalo. The billboard features artwork by local artist Iris M. Kirkwood, who was chosen by The Momentum Project, led by innovation philanthropist Alice Jacobs. The Momentum Project began in 2022 with the goal of giving unique platforms to emerging artists from Western New York. In its first year, The Momentum Project brought the artwork of Bianca L Period McGraw to Buffalo Bills fans by featuring one of her pieces in the menus at Highmark Stadium. The goal of FeedMore WNY’s capital campaign is to build a new, centralized headquarters in Hamburg. ➡️ https://lnkd.in/dkDxMjcY
