Weʼve raised £190 to install a bench and plaque in the Great Comberton church yard to commemorate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee

Funded on Friday, 2nd September 2022

    Story

The Great Comberton Social Club and Parish Council are organising a street party on Sunday 5th June to celebrate the Queen's Platinum Jubilee. In order to commemorate the event in our village, the Social Club, on behalf of villagers, would like to place a commemorative bench in St. Michael's church yard with a commemorative plaque.

The Social Club committee are inviting villagers to make a donation, however small or large, to help the village raise funds to buy the bench and plaque. (In the event that surplus funds are raised, monies will be donated to a local food bank. In the event insufficient funds are raised, we will look to raise further funds at Social Club events later this year).

(Please note, and despite wording that might indicate otherwise, 2.9% +25p will be deducted by JustGiving from each donation)

Thank you again to everyone who atended the Platinum Jubillee weekend celebrations, who helped set up or lend facilities and equipment, and of course all of you that supported events or donated in anyway. We will leave the fundraising page open for a little while for those wishing to donate or until we have raised enough to purchase and install the Bench.

Thank you to everyone who has donated so far, and to all those who came along to the Cream Teas at Stowe Cottage - we were blessed with good weather. Fingers crossed for Sunday’s Street Party. 😎🤞🏼
