2024 Commencement ceremony

This year the class of 2024 is invited to participate in the commencement ceremony on Friday, May 10 in Hingst Hall at Ivy Tech Kokomo. Graduates will participate with their academic school, receive their diploma cover, and celebrate with Ivy Tech staff and faculty! Graduates can only participate in the ceremony for the school their program belongs to.

Tickets will be required to attend this year's commencement, but the ceremonies will also be live streamed. Graduates may request a maximum of four tickets to the 2024 Commencement Ceremony due to spacing restrictions.

Each student entering the final semester prior to graduation must complete an Application for Graduation. You can apply online through MyIvy by following these easy steps:

  1. Log into MyIvy
  2. Go to Tools and Resources
  3. Search for “Apply to Graduate”

What is the Spring 2024 Commencement schedule?

Commencement ceremonies for graduating students are scheduled for Friday, May 10, 2024.

STUDENTS MUST BE DRESSED AND READY UPON ARRIVAL. (We will not have dressing rooms available and students will be seated as they arrive for the ceremony.)

Do I need to let Ivy Tech Community College know if I plan to participate in Spring 2024 commencement in May?

Yes. Qualifying students who declare their intent to participate before Friday, April 19, will be permitted to participate in the Friday, May 10, ceremony. This RSVP deadline date will be strictly enforced due to the limited number of seats available. Degree award dates will be based on actual completion.

Will my name be read in the Spring 2024 ceremony?

Only students who are participating in the actual ceremony will have their name read. All names will be listed in the Commencement Program.

Cap and Gowns

The bookstore will have a supply of caps and gowns in stock for you to purchase. You can learn more at IvyTech.edu/bookstore, where caps and gowns are also available for purchase.

How many guest tickets can I receive?

Each graduate may request a maximum of four guest tickets to the Spring 2024 commencement ceremonies. The ceremonies will be live-streamed for anyone interested who cannot attend.

Tickets will be available the week of May 1 for students to pick up.

Seating

  • Tickets are only valid for their listed ceremony.
  • Students may not register to attend only to receive tickets on behalf of another student.
  • Seating is open and guests may sit in any open seat.
  • If children become disruptive, the responsible guest must take them outside the building

Will the ceremonies be live-streamed?

Yes, via YouTube; please watch your Ivy Tech email for the link.

Ceremony

The ceremony will last approximately 60 minutes and include conferral of degrees and induction into the Ivy Tech Community College Alumni Association.

All online orders will be available for pickup on site the day of the graduation.   To retrieve your order, please stop by our booth located conveniently at the entrance to the graduation before the ceremony begins.

TO ORDER STUDENT REGALIA

1.      Students can place their regalia by CLICKING HERE

2.      The order deadline will be listed for each campus on the website.

3.      Students will have the option to order and pay on-line, and have the regalia shipped to their home, or place the order online, but set up pick and payment in store. 

4.      Student Regalia cost is $45.98 which includes the Cap, Gown, and Tassel. Souvenir Tassels are available as well for $5.98.

Ivy Tech Kokomo Transfer Fair 2024

When: Tuesday, March 19, 2024

Where: Kokomo 11:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm

The Ivy Tech Kokomo campus is hosting a transfer fair on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Representatives from several colleges and universities will be on the Kokomo campus in Hingst Hall from 11:00 am-1:00 pm and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. This transfer fair serves to connect students with representatives from 4-year colleges to continue their education after graduation. Questions?
