I remember Sue from school and had seen her since but not often. Sue was so sweet and funny. She will be missed. I'm sorry for your loss. I had heard about her passing earlier. My heart goes out to you at this time.
I was working for Grange Insurance a few years ago. We had a new employee, a nice lady named Susan Cook. After working with her for a week, she overheard me talking about Carkeek Park. She told me that she grew up near the park. I asked where, she said just south of Viewlands Elementary, I said she must have lived close to Susan Bornemeier. She looked at me and said, "I am Susan Bornemeier".
We both thought it was hilarious that we could work together and not realize that we were the adult versions of the kids we knew. She was fun to be around at Viewlands and Ingraham, and a real pleasure to work with at Grange.

Sue's parents and my parents were best friends, we knew each other from birth.It is shocking to lose someone I have known my entire life.
She had recently been cruising with her husband,brother and sister. She was an avid cruiser the last few years and was happily married.
I hold many fond memories of growing up with Sue and her family.
