Georgia Commissioner of Agriculture Gary Black challenged a group of high school and college students to consider opportunities in the agriculture industry during the group’s visit to Griffin hosted by Newton Crouch Co.
The group of students from Georgia and Alabama were part of the Metro Atlanta Urban Youth Agribusiness Tour.
During the tour, Steve and John Crouch informed the group of the diversity of jobs available in agriculture, including drafting, engineering and fabrication.
Besides visiting Newton Crouch Co., Other stops included Cargill, UGA-Griffin Campus and Southern Belle Farms.
