The seventh annual middle and high school Bulloch County Golf Championship (BCGC), sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Statesboro, will be held Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, March 20th and 21st, 2024, at the Georgia Southern University Golf Course.

The two-day event features a 9-hole tournament for boys’ and girls’ high school and middle school divisions. Champions are crowned for lowest overall team score and individual low medalist honors.

The high school teams compete on Wednesday, March 20, and the middle school teams compete on Thursday, March 21. Boys’ and Girls’ teams from Bulloch Academy, Langston Chapel Middle School, Portal Middle High School, Southeast Bulloch High School, Statesboro High School, William James Middle School and this year's invited guest, Toombs County High School, tee off to prove which is the best golf school in the county.

2023 Champions

The 2023 championship saw Bulloch Academy's Griffin Garvin and Portal's Shelby Clark (back-to-back-to-back champion) as the high school low medalists.

Statesboro High won the boys high school title, and Portal won the girls team title - Portal and Southeast Bulloch both shot a 103 team score, but the regression tiebreaker gave Portal the win.

Bulloch Academy's Grant Odom and Madison Woodrum took home low medalist honors for the middle school tournament, completing a clean sweep as both the boys and girls squads from Bulloch Academy brought home the team trophies.

The Bulloch County Golf Championship invites about 100 of the best young golfers in the area to play in the prestigious tournament.
