"To catch a phantom, you must open your mind to new realities and venture far into the unknown.” —The Omega Accord

After shocking murders ravage the Federal Reserve, FBI agents Mackenzie Fallon and Morgan Nash are assigned to investigate. As clues reveal connections to secret societies and ancient symbols, Mackenzie and Morgan traverse the globe in search of the truth.

The investigation twists and turns, revealing a secret brotherhood pulling the strings behind Presidential assassinations, Vatican successions, and government destabilization. The deeper Mackenzie and Morgan dig, the murkier the lines between friend and foe become.

With pandemics and global war threatening the world they love, Mackenzie and Morgan must race against a shadowy brotherhood to eliminate the mastermind before everything they love crumbles around them.

This high-octane thriller is full of conspiracy and espionage, painting a world where nothing is as it seems.

The blurb promised so much but it was too complicated and had too much going on. I liked the involvement of links to ancient Egypt but it was too much and felt like unnecessary padding. The to and fro nature of the investigation felt too chaotic and I just felt confused all the way through.

It could have been so much more but for me, it was ultimately disappointing. Guess it just wasnt for me.

I received an ARC through Booksirens and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

This story will definitely grab your attention right from the beginning. The book starts with the introduction of an assassin who will play a major part in the story later on. The assassin performs three killings which happen in Victoria, B.B. Each of the victims is related to a drug cartel.

The assassin next victims are members of the FED and as a result it brings Mackenzie and Morgan into the picture. Morgan is still recovering from the murder of his wife and the kidnapping of his daughter. Mackenzie tasks him with the lead and Morgan goes to New Orleans to begin his search. Unfortunately, this is just the start of the killings of the FED Bank leaders. It eventually causes Morgan's daughter to finally show up dead.

It seems that at all of the killings tokens have been left by the bodies which provide an indication of who the responsible person is. Morgan determines that they all refer to Egyptian lore so he brings a specialist, Raz, in to assist. As more killings more tokens are discovered which lead Morgan to advise that a major event will be happening for a high ranking person.

Morgan is correct with his forecast and he latter discovers other clues which foretell many disasters which will happen in the future. In trying to prevent these from happening, he receives help from unexpected parties.

To learn what the 1st major event was as well as what he saw happening in the future, then you need to read this book. Follow Morgan, Mackenzie and the others as the try desperately to prevent these events. Read how how of the clues relate to a specific goal and learn who all was involved.

This book is a definite winner and you really need to read this book.

This was certainly a fast-paced and all-action book. At first it takes a while to get into the book as it is quite complex to start with, but it is certainly worth persevering with as it develops into a really good read, even if at times you feel you are racing to catch up with the plot.

At first it starts with what appears to be a serial killer on the loose with strong connections to Ancient Egypt, and especially the Gods. I found this information and connection really good and quite fascinating. Then it seems to morph into a plot to bring major world change and has links to some world events happening now. It did very much feel like two books, and seamlessly moved from crime fiction into an all-action thriller.

Overall I enjoyed this more than I thought I was going to do at first and after a while I found it difficult to put the book down. If you enjoy all-action political thrillers then I think you would enjoy this book. At times I do feel a bit more depth was called for with the characters, and I would like to have learned more about them as it could get confusing especially when the lead character was often referred to by either of his two names. But that said I really enjoyed this book and I am happy to recommend it.

I loved the cliff hanger ending to the book and look forward to this being developed into a series, and to learning more about the characters. An interesting new author comes onto the political thriller scene. Overall I gave the book 4 1/2 stars. I could see how this could develop into a five star series as we get to know the characters and events better.

I really feel that I only have a superficial understanding of what actually happened in this story, but still enjoyed reading it. It had a very complex storyline, but I also got confused over character names - when someone is called Morgan Nash, it gets confusing when sometimes they’re called Morgan and other times Nash. There were also a few unusual words used a lot e.g. "aping" and "bodacious ". There was a big cliffhanger at the end and I assume there will be a sequel which I wouldn’t mind reading at some stage. If you liked The DaVinci Code or books by McAvoy, you are in for sleepless nights until you finish this book. It's not at all believable, but you soon forget it as you keep fingers crossed for your new friends and hope they untangle the mystery before another person dies.

The only pesky detail is that there is a cliffhanger, a big honking cliffhanger that requires at least one more book for the solution. There's no explicit announcement of a next book, but it's fairly apparent.

It took me a few chapters to get into it, but once in was totally hooked. Very well written and hope this will never be a reality. Highly recommended read.

I really wanted to like this one, but I had to mark it as DNF at page 45. Overly descriptive language with an incredibly ambitious plot. Had trouble envisioning the characters actually saying some of the lines.

An intriguing story that will keep you hooked. Fallon and Nash need to find the clues to solve the murders. There’s secrets that need to be solved as well. Well written.
