Sophia is destined to be the savior of an ancient tribe, but controlling her Fire magic at a school where dragons fly and mystery is around every corner is more complicated than she thought. At Orenda Academy, power is absolute, and students are thrown into a dangerous competition to survive. The Elders who run the tribe are ruthless, and they see Sophia as the ultimate threat.

Liam is the outcast son of a Water chief who’s lost everything. He’s been given a chance to restore his honor… if he helps the Elders take Sophia down. Unfortunately, she’s the one person he’s chosen to protect.

Fire and Water aren’t allowed to be together, and if anyone discovers Liam’s love for Sophia, death will be imminent for them both. To fight back against the Elders, their forbidden romance must come into the light… and ignite a rebellion within the tribe.

Thoughts about this: interesting story, characters with some childish attitudes and I’d say a slow burn kind of romance.

Pros vs Cons!

Cons: Too much description!! At some point I ended up just turning pages until the next dialogue. Yes, having description is good but this way was utterly boring. Second, the FMC, first book she was dumb, annoying, and plain st*pid lol. By book two you would expect her to grow up, right? Well, no! It was just a girl dealing with a broken heart by playing slut, stripper and even... bi? Utterly weird with lack of sense considering that by book three she was all over the MC again. Really, you can't turn from (in order of books) 1. Pathetic, 2. Slut to 3. The princess with no brains just in love with Prince Charming.

Resume: she was a childish, with no self-value and you remember that Fairly Oddparents series? She was like that violet girl, Trixie, that only wanted someone to tell her she was cutie. Not lying, the girl when nuts just for not being able to kiss and f*ck the guy. Pathetic, honestly!

On the bright side, the secondary characters were great! The only pro so far were the supportive friends. The typically funny and easy going, though when it came to love all were disastrous.

Guess part of me feels a little bad for being so crude about my words considering there's another part of me that believes the story has potential and the love and relationships can improve a lot. cough cough not that cheap slut act lol.

Perhaps for being a New Adult the authors decided to not explore a steamier world? That would have been great instead of having zero fun. The history had everything to have those moments even out of revenge or just for need. Having an out of nowhere crisis of identity because the guy won’t kiss you wasn't funny at all, considering how fast she was come back to rub against him. Pathetic. Sorry, but not sorry!

I've just found out there are six books so maybe I'll skip directly to the end and see if it's worth reading the previous ones. So far, I’m disappointed.”

Fantasy Action Love Story

I need to preface my critique by saying that I'm an older adult. I enjoy fantasy but had some difficulty with how much emphasis was put on The Love Story particularly between Sophia and Liam. However, I enjoyed the closeness of all the friendships with their Ebbs and flows. The storyline that followed the prophecy, tribal rituals, and Mysteries was excellent. I appreciated the analogy of intertribal relationships with the difficulties between being gay and straight. Overall, I enjoyed the three books.

Magical class society.

Sophia suddenly finds herself in a new world, one full of different types of magic. However there are still those who feel better than others and who will treat others as thought they are beneath them.
Interracial relationships are forbidden. The council elders have an agenda of their own. Can Sophia and her friends survive the ordeals that threaten them?
A new way of looking at old problems.
A must read for all lovers of the supernatural world.

Unique, creative, daring

The creativity in these first three books caught my ATTENTION! I haven't read many series involving main characters being disabled in all my years of reading (52 years). To take this challenge seriously & write such compelling stories is a true accomplishment.

Super difficult to put down

These first three books in the Hidden Legends series were a wonderful read. There is some great world building and character development along with lots of action and suspense. Some romance thrown in for good measure. Twists and turns you didn’t see coming and generally lots of stuff to keep you reading.
