Progression & Purpose for The S.T.O.R.M. Academy

The S.T.O.R.M. Academy with Mobile Coach Brown and The Family was started on July 13, 2020, during a pandemic, racial injustices, and a multitude of hardships around the world. We have featured over thirty guests from a variety of backgrounds and professions. The mission here at this program is to implement education, character formulation, respect, discipline, and skill development through mentorship and the game of basketball. We have over three dozen and counting student-athletes from all sides of Bridgeport, Ct and surronding towns here in ct. Amazingly, we started with three young men on the first day. This summer The S. T. O.R.M. Academy traveled between 4 parks: Newfield Park, Nanny Goat Park, Went Field Park, and BJ Brown Park. We are continually celebrating our Progression and Purpose as individuals and an organization.Our Central location is BJ Brown Park.Located:555 madison ave Bridgeport, CTDue to the climate in our region, we have limited practices left outdoors. The safety of our young men and women is paramount because we are dedicated to providing a safe haven for the youth.
