About this event

Please note: this workshop is available only to current University of Pittsburgh faculty, staff, and students. Please register using your Pitt email!

Come learn the art of letterpress with us in the Text & conText Lab!

Get acquainted with the Vandercook proof press, typesetting, and the basic terminology you need to manually print anything from books to broadsides. Then get hands-on with the press, and go home with your own collaborative word cloud poster!

Making word clouds together can help us find shared meaning while having fun. Join us for a creative workshop where we'll put this idea into action.

This workshop is especially designed for those new to letterpress who want to learn the full process. It gets messy: aprons provided!

Facilitated by Jasmine Green, Center for Creativity Assistant. This program will be held in person at the Text & conText Lab, on the third floor of Hillman Library.
