Judgment and Value in the Humanities: What’s Worth Conserving?

This conference will address the place of judgment and value in humanistic study and the pursuit of scholarship in the humanities. How may we speak without apology about things that matter most to our work as teachers and students? How can we show why they should matter to others? What is worth preserving in the enlightenment culture that supports the practice of liberal education?
