The Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW) will conduct an information-gathering process entitled, “An Information-Gathering Process on Draft Legislation entitled, America’s Water Infrastructure Act of 2020 and The Drinking Water Infrastructure Act of 2020: Stakeholder Comments”

Wednesday, April 22, 2020: On or before April 22, 2020, the Committee will electronically post drafts of the two bills on its Committee website.

On Wednesday, April 22, 2020, the Committee will electronically accept written statements from five invited stakeholders.

The written statements will be electronically shared with Committee Members for their consideration and be publicly available on the Committee’s website.

Friday, April 24, 2020: No later than 4 p.m. (ET) on Friday, April 24, 2020, the Committee will electronically accept written questions from Committee Members who wish to ask questions of the five invited stakeholders. Questions shall be electronically submitted to the Committee at QFR@epw.senate.gov.

Friday, May 1, 2020: On Friday, May 1, 2020, the Committee will electronically accept written responses to questions submitted by Committee Members to five invited stakeholders. Responses to questions shall be electronically submitted in PDF format to the Committee at QFR@epw.senate.gov

Responses to questions will be electronically shared with Committee Members for their consideration. 

In addition, no later than 4 p.m. (ET) on Friday, May 1, 2020, the Committee will electronically accept written comments submitted by other stakeholders.

Written comments from other stakeholders shall each be electronically submitted as a single file in PDF format to the Committee at QFR@epw.senate.govWritten comments shall include a contact name, mailing address, email address, and phone number. Written comments that do not comply with each of these requirements will not be accepted.

The Committee will make publicly available on the Committee’s website the record of full and participating subcommittee Chairs, Ranking Members, and five invited stakeholder written statements; five invited stakeholder written responses to Members’ written questions; and written comments submitted by other stakeholders.
