Debbie J Hajek of Hoffman Estates, Illinois

"Debbie Jean Hajek, 65, passed away peacefully on May 2nd, 2021 after living with cervical cancer for the last few years. Debbie - 'the Queen Bee' - was born on October 15th, 1955 in Chicago and grew up in the Gage Park neighborhood. Debbie and her husband of 38 years, Frank, have two grown sons - her boys. She had an early career working for Heller Seasonings, and a second career with Harper College where she spent 20 years. Debbie was a sweet and loving soul. She loved gardening and flowers, cooking, music, traveling, all Chicago sports teams (except the Cubs), but most of all - family. She would do anything for her family and was an incredibly caring and giving wife, mother, daughter, sister, grandma, and friend to all that knew her. 

 

Debbie is survived by her husband Frank Hajek; her boys Danny (Kelly) Hajek, Robby (Nicole) Hajek, and Michael (Mary) Hajek, her brother George Engermann and sister Nancie Buduris, daughter in-law Renee Hajek, grandchildren Sarah, Michael, Nolan, Lucas, and Sullivan, mother in-law Mary Hajek, niece Mary Buduris, nephew Mark Buduris, and many cousins and loved ones. She is joining many angels including her parents, Walter and Mildred (Wertelka) Engermann, along with her father in-law Steve Hajek and son David Hajek. 

 

Her life will be celebrated at a later date (this summer) in order to ensure as many of her loved ones and friends can safely take part in honoring her life. Information will be updated on Debbie’s Memories site along with pictures and memories from her life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society in Debbie’s name."
