DETAILS:

Emily Jeanette Garcia (15 years of age) was a young female living away from her mother and sister in the northeastern part of San Antonio. Emily was last seen alive in San Antonio a few days prior to her death. On Thursday, 02-25-1993, her nude body was found near Cranes Mill Road in Comal County. An autopsy determined Emily died from asphyxia due to ligature strangulation. There was also evidence of sexual assault.

September 10, 2021, Thomas Ray Galindo, 50, was arrested at his home in Brazoria County for the murder of Emily Garcia. Galindo was transferred to the Comal County Jail. The trial date is pending.

All persons are considered innocent until convicted in a court of law.
