Crafting Content for Children’s Spaces

This session will discuss what it means to write for a target audience of MG and YA readers. Kaitlyn Katsoupis will address elements of voice, marketability, and more, while giving guidance on what it means to find a balance between writer and content. If time allows, a Q&A will take place at the end of the talk.

The Paths to Publication
This session will feature local published authors and illustrators, who will discuss their various paths to becoming published book creators. With a variety of genres and age levels represented in the panel’s published books, audience members will gain a better understanding of the various ways to get their work into the hands of readers.
