CSULB Single Sign-On Service Update

Dear Students and Colleagues,

In our ongoing efforts to enhance our technology services, we will transition our CSULB Single Sign-On (SSO) services to Microsoft My Apps on June 1.

The two most noticeable benefits of this service enhancement are:

  • A simplified Microsoft Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) process: MS MFA services will be required only once upon logging into SSO.  Individual applications within SSO will no longer require MFA.  All applications in SSO are protected with MFA. (Note for employees: If you currently use DUO MFA, such as for CMS Finance, this will remain in place until further notice.)
  • A new streamlined look: The SSO webpage will have a new look, and the applications will display in alphabetical order.

There will be no change to how you currently use MFA (i.e., the Microsoft Authenticator app, SMS text code), as this SSO enhancement will be a seamless backend technical service change.  As we approach the cutover date of June 1, more information will be shared to help you take advantage of this SSO enhancement.

See our Microsoft My Apps SSO article for more details and an early preview.
