Conflict Resolution in the Classroom: Supporting and Providing Early Intervention for Vulnerable Student Populations 

Workshop Description:

This workshop provides the opportunity for faculty to explore working with vulnerable students using different conflict resolution strategies while identifying ways to support this high need student population (vulnerable populations typically include any group or sector that is at a higher risk during periods of conflict and crisis). During this hands-on and interactive session, participants will:

• Learn about different conflict resolution styles and strategies
• Gain an understanding of and identify the needs of vulnerable student populations 
• Develop an understanding of how to utilize the Spectrum of Resolution Options to support students from vulnerable student populations
• Learn how to identify various sources of support for working with vulnerable student populations
