Based in Los Angeles, chef and Texas native Dream Kasestatad is used to hitting the road with his popular take on Thai street food. Precisely why it should come as no surprise that Kasestatad's pop-up restaurant, Pranom, is scheduled to make an appearance at 81Bay Brewing Co. next week.
Locals looking to get a taste of the traveling menu should plan on showing up to the South Tampa brewery's tasting room at 6:30 p.m. Monday.
I mean, who knows how long the dishes will last? Plus, there are only two offerings available: boat noodle soup (slow-braised brisket soup with beef ball, rice noodz, roasted peanuts, crispy pork skin, Chinese sausage, Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, dry chilis, boiled egg, citrus and cilantro) or vegan pad prik king (chili paste wok-stir fired with garlic, coconut milk, mushrooms, lemongrass, kaffir lime leaves, crispy tofu and long beans, along with a side of Jasmine rice).
The Tampa stop for Pranom also coincides with 81Bay's open-mic night and half-off deal on flights. You're gonna need a beer to wash down all of that deliciousness from the pop-up.
