The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has been building temples since the 1830s. Temples are considered houses of God, places of holiness and peace separate from the world’s preoccupations. They provide a place where Church members can make formal promises and commitments to God to follow His son, Jesus Christ, and live righteous lives. God promises to bless and strengthen those who stay true to these sacred promises. Learn more about the temples located in North Texas below.

Sharing some progress on the Fort Worth Temple! If you are ever in the area, you are welcome to stop by the Temple Site Visitors Center, which is staffed each day by Temple Site Missionaries. The Visitors Center is located at the corner of Hulen Street and Greenridge Drive in Burleson. Call for hours and appointments. They can accommodate youth groups and groups of children, too! They have activities and educational materials, as well as a viewing platform that provides a great view of the building site. 801-554-3385 or 801-643-0745Half of the floor slab for the main level of the Fort Worth Texas Temple has been poured and cured with plumbing pipes rising through the concrete surface. When the second half of the slab is poured, an opening will be formed over the walls for the baptismal font. Plans for the temple were announced at the October 2021 general conference, and the groundbreaking was held two years later in October 2023. Is there an anticipated or estimated finished time on this Temple and visitor walkthrough time? Thanks so much.
I love construction! I saw some images of how this foundation is laid with pillars embedded into the bedrock. It is amazing to see engineering, machinery and people's hard work come together. I am also excited for this beautiful temple to be built in Fort Worth!
