John C. Eastman, a law professor at Chapman University School of Law and ardent supporter of Donald Trump, recently wrote an editorial in which he questioned the legality of Kamala Harris running for vice president, basing his skepticism on "birtherism." Kamala Harris was born in California, and is therefore a U.S. citizen under the 14th Amendment. There is no ambiguity about this. Yet because her parents are immigrants, and because John C. Eastman is a xenophobic racist, he wrote an editorial arguing that it is possible she might not be qualified to run for VP because he questions the legitimacy of her citizenship. His argument is baseless and ignorant, and clearly motivated by racism. His editorial is based on a lie, and he knows it. And even if he doesn't know it, he is not fit to teach law, because of his profound ignorance of the law. So either he's a racist and therefore unfit to teach law, or he is so lacking in basic legal knowledge that he is not fit to teach law. Fire "birther" conspiracy theorist John C.
