Alpha Kappa DeltaAKD is the Cedarville University chapter of Sigma Tau Delta, the English Honor Society.

The MiracleThe Miracle is Cedarville University's yearbook, which students produce annually. You will have opportunity to gain real experience with writing, editing, and design.

The Cedarville ReviewThe Cedarville Review annually publishes student prose, poetry, visual art and photography. The journal also provides a platform for student editors seeking editorial and design experience as part of a special topics literature course.

The Writing Center — The Writing Center is a campus service that helps people to learn writing skills from highly qualified and trained students. The writing center often hires English majors.

Foreign Film Series — The Foreign Film Series provides the Cedarville community an opportunity to view interesting and challenging films from around the world. The series allows viewers to peer into often unfamiliar cultures through the eyes of the cultures themselves.

Study Abroad — World studies and study abroad opportunities. Study creative writing and literature in Ireland, Spain, England, France, Germany, and Greece.

Program Curriculum

Building on your core liberal arts and Bible minor courses, you will acquire the critical skills you need to study literature across periods and genres. You will be able to travel abroad with Cedarville professors, hone editorial skills, minor in creative writing, and explore a wide range of special topics courses.

This major is offered with either a three-year or four-year completion plan.

This major offers an accelerated bachelor's-to-master's pathway for students interested in pursuing their MBA.
