Alvarez went 4-for-5 with a double and two RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Royals.
Alvarez ripped an RBI single off Cole Ragans in the top of the second inning, extending the Astros' lead to 2-0 before he later added an RBI double in the fourth frame extend Houston's advantage to 3-0. The left-hander has now secured at least one hit in six out of his last seven games, batting an eye-popping .517 with four homers, three doubles, 11 RBI and seven runs scored over that stretch.

Alvarez went 3-for-5 with a home run, a double, three RBI and three runs scored in Monday's win over the Rangers.
Alvarez belted a two-run shot in the second inning and later knocked an RBI double in the fourth. He's gone deep in consecutive games and has four over his last five appearances. During that five-game stretch, he's gone 10-for-20 (.500) with nine RBI, raising his season OPS to .981.

Alvarez came into the contest mired in a 3-for-24 slump to begin the season, but he turned things around in a big way Wednesday. The 26-year-old drilled a solo shot to center field in the third inning for his first homer of the campaign, added an RBI double in the fourth, then went deep with a second solo shot in the sixth. Alvarez is aiming for his fourth straight season of 30-plus homers after averaging 33.7 long balls over the previous three campaigns.

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Early exit Monday was planned
Alvarez's early removal from Monday's Grapefruit League game versus the Marlins was planned and he is not injured, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
It seemed a bit odd that Alvarez was lifted after just two plate appearances, but evidently that was always the plan and he is fine, so fantasy managers can breathe a sigh of relief. Alvarez is 10-for-29 with one home run so far this spring.

Astros' Yordan Alvarez: Exits early Monday
Alvarez left Monday's game against the Marlins earlier than anticipated, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.
He fouled a ball off his foot Friday, although it was reported that he exited that game due to an allergic reaction. Alvarez returned to action Sunday and was in Monday's lineup for two at-bats before exiting. There should be an update on his status after the game.

Alvarez (eye) is starting in left field and batting second in Sunday's Grapefruit League game against the Cardinals, Matt Kawahara of the Houston Chronicle reports.
Alvarez was removed from Friday's contest due to an allergic reaction in his left eye, but he's ready to return to game action a couple days later. Barring any additional issues, the 26-year-old slugger will be ready for Opening Day against the Yankees on March 28.

Alvarez was removed from Friday's Grapefruit League game due to an allergic reaction in his left eye, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.
Alvarez fouled a ball off his right foot during his lone at-bat Friday and left the game shortly afterward, but it appears his removal was due to an unrelated issue. Manager Joe Espada said Alvarez's eye won't require any extra medical attention, and the 26-year-old slugger should still be ready to go for Opening Day.

Alvarez initially remained in the game to finish his at-bat in the first inning but was replaced in left field by Jacob Melton to begin the second. Alvarez didn't appear to be in much pain as he walked back into the clubhouse, so his removal may only be precautionary.
