Dr. Modrek receives the 2023 Thomas Jefferson Provost Early Career Faculty Achievement Award. The Provost’s Early Career Faculty Achievement Award recognizes a TJU faculty member who has made exceptional progress during the first ten years of their initial faculty appointment.
Dr. Modrek invited for a micro-sabbatical at Princeton University, in the Department of Psychology!
Hosted by Dr. Tania Lombrozo, Director of the Concepts and Cognition Lab, Dr. Modrek will be spending the Spring 2023 semester at Princeton University’s Department of Psychology.
Dr. Modrek now confirmed into joint appointment as an Assistant Professor of Population Health.
Thomas Jefferson University Board of Trustees have confirmed Dr. Modrek a secondary faculty appointment as an Assistant Professor of Population Health in the Jefferson College of Public Health, a secondary appointment to her position as an Assistant Professor of Psychology.
Grant awarded!
With support from Thomas Jefferson University, Dr. Modrek and the Learning to Learn (L2L) Lab have received University funding to further their studies testing pedagogy, learning, cognitive development, and more! Stay tuned!
New grant project!
With support from the William & Flora Hewlett Foundation, Dr. Modrek and the Learning to Learn (L2L) Lab will begin the Study of Deeper Learning collaborating with AERA + American Institutes of Research.
Dr. Modrek will be presenting a Flash Talk in the Cognitive session at APS Annual Convention in San Francisco!
