Colonial Life CEO to help lead American Heart Association Tim Arnold, to serve on regional board of directors

Tim Arnold, President and Chief Executive Officer of Colonial Life & Accident Insurance, was elected to the American Heart Association Southeast Board of Directors. Arnold will serve on the board during the Association’s 2020-2021 fiscal year. The American Heart Association is the world’s leading voluntary organization to be a relentless force for a world free from cardiovascular disease and stroke. The American Heart Association Southeast region services Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee and Puerto Rico.
“The American Heart Association’s dedication to improving the cardiovascular health of all Americans is critical work,” said Arnold. “I am honored to serve as a board member and look forward to helping the American Heart Association continue to lead the fight to saves lives from cardiovascular diseases and stroke.”
During the upcoming year, Arnold continues to play an instrumental role in guiding efforts to reduce the incidences of heart disease and stroke, the No. 1 and No. 5 leading killers, respectively, of American men and women.
In addition to serving on the regional board, Arnold also supports the American Heart Association locally as a Midlands Board member, and 2021 Chairman of the Midlands Heart Ball. Arnold is also vice chair for the SC State Chamber of Commerce board, board chair for the South Carolina Center for the South Carolina Center for Fathers and Families, immediate past board chair for the United Way of the Midlands, and the Midlands Heart Ball. He also serves on the boards of the Columbia Chamber of Commerce (vice chair), the Midlands Business Leadership Group, the Palmetto Business Forum and Transform SC (co-chair).
