A MESSAGE FROM
The Superintendent
Students, Families, Teachers, Staff and Community –

It’s safe to say fall is flying by, as it’s hard to believe we’re already nearing the end of November. As we wrap up another successful month of learning and head into the holiday season, it’s important to take a moment to reflect and demonstrate appreciation for what makes us grateful. From the beauty of the season to the holiday cheer around every corner, I’m glad to see such happiness in our community.

I’d like to share my gratitude for the Coloma Community Schools student body. It’s my pleasure to watch each student come to school ready to learn with enthusiasm. Being in school all day, every day prepares the littlest learners, as well as those getting ready to graduate in the spring, with the resources to be successful in every aspect of life.

In-person learning, classroom volunteers and school spirit at sports games are just a few of the reasons this school year has been one to remember fondly. Our principals are exceptional leaders, constantly demonstrating what it means to be effective in the classroom. Additionally, without the passion from our classroom and support educators, our students would not be nearly as engaged in their learning. Thank you to these invaluable members of the Coloma community.

November also presents our students with the opportunity to remember our veterans and what it means to serve our country. From all of us in the Coloma community, thank you to those who have served in the past and to those in uniform currently. We honor you every day.

The health and safety of our community is one of our top priorities. I am thankful to our students and their families for their commitment to learning and following current health recommendations. It’s because of this diligence that we are able to continue coming to school to learn. As we enter the season during which students inevitably get colds, we’d like to remind you to stay home if you don’t feel well and take any necessary actions to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all students and staff.

As we're in the middle of the holiday season, I want to encourage all of you to spend time with your friends, family, and those to whom you are thankful. I am beyond grateful that you all have all chosen Coloma Community Schools for your education, and I look forward to the months ahead.
