Vanderbilt's Department of Biomedical Informatics (DBMI) is one of the largest academic departments of biomedical informatics in the country. DBMI has more than 130 faculty members, an excellent graduate training program and a well-respected portfolio of research and development projects related to clinical, computational and translational informatics; bioinformatics (genomics, proteomics, metabolomics and more); pharmacogenomics; systems biology; personalized medicine and more.
